Homemade Candy Corn Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups powdered milk
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
5 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Food coloring (yellow & orange)
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and powdered milk. Set aside.
Heat wet ingredients: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. Let it boil for about 3-4 minutes.
Combine & flavor: Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms (be careful — it’s hot!).
Cool slightly & divide: Let the dough cool enough to handle, then divide it into 3 equal parts.
Leave one white
Add yellow food coloring to one part
Add orange food coloring to the third part
Shape the candy corn: Roll each color into ropes and press them side by side (white, orange, yellow). Flatten slightly, then cut into triangles.
Let it set: Place pieces on wax paper and let them dry for 1-2 hours.
